To contact the police

  • In an emergency phone the emergency switchboard on 999 and ask for the police.
  • If it is not an emergency phone the local police on 01732 379371 or 01622 690690 or by just dialling 101.  You may get through to West Kent police switchboard so ask for Sevenoaks.  The local Police Officer covering St John's is Steve Grasty.

Another way to contact the local police is to phone the Police Community Support Officers who are responsible for our area.  They are Karl Coomber and Hayley Elliott; you can contact Karl Coomber directly on mobile 07772 226007.

The local police have a police office inside the District Council Offices on the corner of London Rd and Argyle Rd (about halfway down the hill from the town centre towards the train station).  This office is open office hours.  The counter should be staffed at these times although the police officers themselves may be out on patrol.

Another way to talk face-to-face to the local police is to go along to one of their regular police surgeries which are held locally.  Details are on their website at:
www.kent.police.uk
(put in your postcode to get details).

You can also email the local police at:
